How to avoid snoring

Space is not there when somebody snores. Chant “OM HAM YAM NAMAHA” – for movement of air, while doing the Space or Akash or Ego Mudra – middle finger touching the tip of the thumb, on both the hands.

Sleeplessness due to mental agitation

I have a terribly disturbed mind in the night in sleep.

Due to mental agitation, I get all imaginary negative fears and that too strong ones keep coming time and again

Scared of the telephone ringing in the middle of the night thinking the calls are about some bad news – say news of death in the family. I also get irrelevant dreams too.

Can you please help me with a switch word which I can keep on chanting and remove all the fears from my subconscious mind which I am sure is full of them?

Chant the mantra “OM JOOM SAHA SAHA JOOM OM” as many times as possible, especially in the night.

Take the flower remedies ASPEN and RESCUE REMEDY, daily four doses in the day time and two doses in the night before sleep.

Sleeplessness due to lower back pain

Case History

Rajesh had a severe lower back pain.

He was feeling weak and found it difficult to walk for more than 5 minutes at a time. Neither could he sleep well.

He wakes up at least 5 to 6 times during his sleep. So he could never feel fresh and brisk in the morning.

He was advised to chant “OM LUM NAMAHA” and “OM VUM NAMAHA” before going to sleep.

He did Safe and Secure Mudra while chanting the mantra.

Within a week he found significant progress. He could sleep well within 10 minutes of chanting.

Also, he didn’t wake up during sleeping hours, which increased his energy levels. Because of this, he could comfortably do yoga in the morning too.

You are not able to relax and unable to sleep

How to relax your mind and go to sleep with the help of a Mudra?

Why you are not able to relax? It means your mind is overactive.

By keeping the index finger at the base of the thumb, I reduce my thoughts and thus my thinking. And then I touch the little finger for relaxation.

Always, ring finger and little finger works together. So, touch the ring finger also with the thumb.

Thus the Mudra is done with index finger touching the base of the thumb, while the ring and little fingers touch the tip of the thumb, on both the hands.

Less air and more of water and earth elements gives you relaxation.

Even after doing this, if your thoughts are not minimized and you are not able to relax then reduce the space element by also making the middle fingers touch the base of the thumb.

This is a beautiful sleeping Mudra – index and middle fingers at the base of the thumb, while ring and little fingers touching the thumb, because it is a very good relaxation Mudra.

Additionally, you can also chant some mantras or switch words to sleep.

Sleeplessness due to change of place or travelling

You have moved to a new house, or travelling in the train. You are not able to sleep.

Take the Bach Flower Remedy WALNUT then.

You can count on this technique to sleep well

Count backwards, say from 50 to 1. If you count incorrectly, you need to start again from 50.

Once you count to one, you have to start again from 50. It could be any number though and not necessarily 50.

This is a traditional technique to sleep well.

Using Angel Number

You can also meditate on the angel number 32 to sleep well. How can you activate 32 in your mind?

Do one of the following:

  1. Meditating upon the number or look at it frequently (write it on a piece of paper and hang it on the wall)
  2. Chanting the number
  3. Write the number in a notebook – 50 to 60 times  per day
  4. Write the number in a small piece of paper and keep it in the pocket

Sleeplessness due to hiding worries from others

Alka had head ache from morning. She didn’t want reveal it in the midst of the workshop. Such a person needs AGRIMONY, the Bach Flower Remedy.

An Agrimony person will not reveal her feelings and hides it from others. She will always be smiling, hiding the worries inside. If you look at her you can’t figure it out as hides her inner turmoil.

What’s the behaviour of an Agrimony person?

In the night, he can’t go to sleep easily as he will be worrying at that time. When he is alone he will be worrying.

He will work overtime as nobody is at home. He will resort to drinking and will say, “I drink to forget my worry and tension”.

Nothing bad will happen to you

For unknown fear or unspecific fear, ASPEN is the remedy.

2 to 3 years old children scream in the middle of the night. They will cry and can’t explain why.

Before they go to sleep give them the Bach Flower Remedy Aspen.

“I have a feeling something bad will happen. As I feared it happened. I believe I am intuitive. It’s a state of mind” –take Aspen and nothing bad will happen.

In darkness: fear of ghost and devil. I won’t go alone to the terrace, a child might say.

You need WHITE CHESTNUT, which is also part of the sleep remedy pack. This Bach Flower Remedy has to be used when a same thought is circling the mind.

Today morning, somebody said you are stupid. You keep thinking about that and that been circulating in your mind throughout the day. You became restless and can’t sleep.

You go to sleep at 10 pm and suddenly you get up at 3 am for no reason. For no reason, you can’t sleep after that. You will start worrying about your sleep.

Let us say a cough that disturbs you in the midst of sleep. It indicates White Chestnut.
