Case histories – Right Shoulders – II

Right shoulder- Back

1 . An HRD trainer consulted Mr.Naran regarding pain in his right back shoulder. While questioning him about the onset of the problem, Mr.Naran casually asked him if he had at any point failed to express his gratitude to someone to whom it was due. After some thoughts, he admitted that he had not adequately acknowledged his indebtedness to the person who had been his guru and mentor. Any success he enjoyed was owed entirely to this mentor and yet during a recent visit to his mentor’s town for a conference, the man had deliberately avoided meeting his guru. Mr.Naran asked him to seek forgiveness and to mentally express his gratitude to this mentor. He did as advised and became totally free from pain.

2.  A young girl came to Mr.Naran with pain in her left shoulder. Some weeks earlier, Mr.Naran had cautioned the girl against marrying a particular individual and at that time she had accepted his counsel albeit grudgingly. His advice had later proved sound but the girl had not expressed adequate thanks for his timely intervention. In the meanwhile the girl’s parents had found an ideal groom for her. The young man was suitable in all respects and would make her an ideal husband. The young girl was torn by guilt. She knew very well that but for Mr.Naran’s insistence she might have married the other man and her life would have been quite different. She was also plagued by doubts about whether she deserved such a happy turn of events. All these emotions were playing on her mind and resulting in the pain in her left shoulder. Mr.Naran asked her to chant the following affirmation.

“I deserve to enjoy life. I willingly release all the past and the guilt feelings associated with it”

The girl is now relieved of the pain and is happily looking forward to her wedding.

3.  A 70 year old man complained of pain in his left knee. When asked about his relationship with his mother, he stated that they enjoyed a happy association. During the conversation he mentioned that his father had dies years before. Normally pain in the left knee indicates problems with the mother but in cases where the father is deceased it could also indicate problems with the father since the left side also relates to the past. Mr.Naran therefore asked him about his relationship with his father and was again assured that there were no issues or problems on the front either. Mr.Naran then asked the man to think back and tries to recall of there was any advice given by his father that he had ignored or failed to carry out. Considering that the man’s father had died 25 years ago when the man was 45 years old. It required a lot of effort to think of issue that far back in time. After deliberation the man hesitantly mentioned that there was only one instance he could recall. His father had apparently taken a vow to undertake a pilgrimage to a holy shrine but could not fulfill it in his life time. On his death bed his father had called him and  asked him to promise to fulfill the vow on his behalf. The man promised, genuinely wishing to satisfy his father, but over time he had forgotten his promise due to the pulls and pressure of daily life. On hearing these words, Mr.Naran immediately asked the man to arrange to fulfill the promise by undertaking the pilgrimage. The man was not very enthusiastic about undertaking a journey as even normal walking was difficult due to his painful left knee. Mr.Naran convinced him to undertake the trip nevertheless and so the man set out. He had great difficulty boarding the train at Chennai but on alighting at the temple town he found that the pain in his knee was considerably reduced thus enabling him to walk to the shrine without assistance. After having the darshan and thereby fulfilling his father’s vow the man was amazed to find that the pain had disappeared totally without a trace.  He marveled at this miraculous healing and thanked him body for prompting him to fulfill his promise to his father.

4.  A man suffering from terrible pain in his right back shoulder came to Mr.Naran seeking a cure. After making all the preliminary enquiries, Mr.Naran asked the man if had forgotten to make any payments or was unduly deferring any payments that he had to make. He could not immediately think of any such instance but after a while he remembered that there was indeed a case where to he had not pain his dues. There was a small Murugan Temple near the man’s house which he was in the habit of frequenting. In fact for years he had been performing “Archana” at this temple. For the last few weeks however he had been unable to go the temple but the priest at the temple continued to perform the archana on the man’s behalf and bring the coconut, plantain and other offerings to the man’s house. Although the man received these offerings regularly, he faulted to make any payment towards the archanai. He kept telling himself that he could pay the money but it remained merely a thought. The priest did not ask the man for money either. Perhaps he felt delicate to ask money from a person who had patronized the temple for years. Mr.Naran asked the man to immediately go to the temple and reimburse the priest for all the expenses incurred over the last few weeks. He also advised the man to promptly pay his dues in future. The man was only too willing to comply.

5.  A woman attended a Reiki workshop conducted by Mr.Naran. Many of the participants in that workshop were familiar with Bach Flower remedies and therefore during the lunch break, the started discussing flower combinations for various ailments and problems. On of the combinations mentioned was Rock Water and Chestnut Bud for locating lost objects. When the woman heard this she wanted to know if it would work in cases where the object was lost nearly a year back. When questioned about the nature of the object lost, she was unwilling to divulge the same but mentioned that she suspected that here husband was behind the theft. Mr.Naran had in the meanwhile guessed what the lost object must be but did not press the woman further. He merely asked her to take the combination and in addition write out an affirmation like this.

“My husband has given back my________” He asked the woman to do Reiki for the affirmation every day. After two weeks the woman called to report that the missing object was back in the same place from where it had gone missing a year back. Apparently her husband had returned it quietly. The woman was profuse in her thanks to Mr.Naran.

6.  A student of Mr.Naran came to him with problem. Her daughter had not conceived even after being married some years. The young couple was desperate to have a child. The mother had even tried giving her daughter Golden Champa essence which reportedly helped in such cases, but in her daughter’s case it had no effect. Mr.Naran suggested DXN therapy. This is a mushroom based thereby which is very effective for various problems. It is however a rather expensive treatment. The medicine for infertility would cost about Rs.1500. the daughter although willing to try anything in order to conceive, was not prepared to pay such a large sum of money. Mr.Naran had also asked the couple to keep a picture of a rabbit in their bedroom. Rabbits are very prolific animals so this was perhaps why Mr.Naran wanted them to have a picture of rabbit. The couple promptly put up a rabbit picture on the wall but was still undecided about DXL therapy. The girl’s mother then decided that since her daughter and son-in-law were reluctant to spend money on the treatment, she would have to pay for the medicine out of her pocket. She informed Mr.Naran of her decision but some how the two of them could not co-ordinate their time to enable her to pick up the medicines. In the meanwhile the daughter came with happy news. She had conceived at last. The mother realized that she owed this miracle to the picture of a rabbit in her daughter’s room. The rabbit in fact saved her Rs.1500 which she was on the verge of paying for DXL treatment. She called Mr.Naran to share with him this wonderful healing that had taken place.

7.  A couple came to see Mr.Naran. The wife was suffering from a painful and still right shoulder. Any movement of the right arm caused severe pain in the shoulder. The couple has a daughter whose marriage was to take place in a month’s time. The woman was worried about how she would be able to complete all the necessary work in connection with the marriage, considering that her movements were so restricted. Mr.Naran asked the woman if she was suffering from any anger but she categorically denied it. Despite Mr.Naran’s persistent probing, she stuck to her stand. The husband however could not keep silent any more and blurted out that there was a major problem between his wife and his father. The two were not on speaking terms and In fact his father had been sent away to live with the other son as the situation was becoming unbearable. The woman in fact hated her father-in-law to such an extent that she had forbidden him to attend her daughter’s wedding even though as the girl’s grandfather had had every right to be present. Mr.Naran tried explaining to the woman that her body was sending her a message that her stand was incorrect. Whatever may be her relations with her father-in-law, she could not deny her daughter the blessings of her grandfather. The woman was adamant. If her father-in-law attended the wedding, she would stay away.

The moment she made this emphatic statement, the pain in her shoulder intensified. Noticing her wince, Mr.Naran gently pointed out that she ought to change her attitude if she whished to get relief from the pain. The woman finally relented. As soon as she openly showed a willingness to change the pain reduced slightly. Mr.Naran asked to go along with her husband to invite her father-in-law personally for the wedding. He also asked her to prostate before her father-in-law. The woman did as advised and was completely cured. The father-in-law attended the wedding and blessed the bride. After the wedding, the woman came to see Mr.Naran. She then confided to him that her relationship with her father-in-law had broken down after he tried to seek sexual favor from her. She asked Mr.Naran whether she was not legitimate in feeling angry and disgusted when confronted with such behavior from her own father-in-law.

Mr.Naran’s answer was simple. “The does not distinguish between legitimate and illegitimate anger. As far as the body is concerned anger is a negative emotion and therefore detrimental to one’s spiritual progress. The body therefore sends a message through the vehicle of pain that you should forgive the person who is the source of anger and not harbor ill feelings.”

8.  A dentist who runs his own clinic came to Mr.Naran complaining of pain in the left side of his neck. Despite taking conventional medicines to relieve the pain, the pain had persisted. Mr.Naran made casual enquiries about his clinic and the success of his practice. The dentist admitted that he found the number of patients visiting his clinic was unsatisfactory and had been resorting to aggressive advertising to promote himself and his clinic. He had put up advertisement boards in all street corners in the vicinity of the clinic and had been circulating promotion leaflets. Mr.Naran then explained to him that it was this desperate urge to successful that was the root cause of the pain in his neck. Such blatant advertising was contrary to the moral code prescribed for doctors by Hippocrates.

Whenever a person resorts to any and every method to prove himself to the world irrespective of the legality or morality of the method, the body responds by manifesting pain in the left of the neck. The body’s message is that belief in one’s abilities and faith that things will work out are enough for anyone to succeed. Chasing success will prove counter productive. On learning this, the dentist promised not to resort to advertising in future. The moment he took this resolve, the pain reduced considerably but still he did not get complete relief. He came back to Mr.Naran who advised him to remove the advertisement boards that were already in place. When the dentist complied, his cure was complete.

9.  A young doctor fell down from a bus and sustained multiple injuries including a spinal injury. For about two years he underwent treatment at various places and finally was cured of nearly all his problems.

The pain in the cervical region (C 4 to be precise) however did not get healed. He was referred to Mr.Naran. When asked to describe the pain, he said it was a “pounding” or “pricking” pain. Mr.Naran immediately asked him the question “who have you done this to?” The doctor was taken aback but after reflecting for a few minutes admitted that he had been abusing his sister’s husband because he had not liked the way he had treated his sister. Although his sister had not asked for his involvement he had interfered and used unparlimentry language against his brother-in-law. As a consequence of his actions his sister’s marraiage was affected badly.

Mr.Naran asked him to chant the affirmation “I will not interfere in my sister’s life”. He also asked him to forgive his brother-in-law. In spite of doing this, the doctor’s pain continued with only a slight relief. Mr.Naran then remembered reading in Louse Hay’s book “You can heal your life” that the probable mental cause for cervical problems is a refusal to see other sides of a situation. Perhaps the doctor had become bitter after the accident because of the disruption in his life. His practice had come to a standstill fro two years while he sought treatment and even his marriage had been cancelled.

Mr.Naran gave the doctor a mental exercise. He was to list out after due reflection all the positives that emerged because of the accident and subsequent treatment. The doctor undertook the task and found he could list some positives stemming from his experience.

1)      Although he had initially been depressed by his marriage being cancelled, he now realized that if the marriage had gone ahead as scheduled, his wife could have been put off by his injuries and been disappointed about the marriage. It was better to ensure or total recovery before seeking a spouse.

2)      He now understood the meaning of pain and could therefore be more empathetic with his own patients

3)      He now realized how much his family loved and cared for him. Earlier he had taken these things for granted.

4)      The two years he had spent going from one hospital to another for treatment had made him realize how much advancement had been made in the field of medicine. If he had just taken up his practice after his MBBS and had no interruption he would not have had an opportunity to go around and see the advancements made.

5)      The two years of treatment had taught him patience and faith in his body’s recovery power. He was confident that ultimately he would have his neck and back restored to normalcy with no pain whatsoever.

After the list was made, Mr.Naran asked the doctor to thank the accident, thank the bus from which he fell down and all those involved in the accident and more importantly to thank God. Te doctor did as instructed and the thanking exercise gave the desired result that earlier the forgiving exercise had not done.

10.  A young woman fell down from her scooter on returning home from work and hurt her left hand. When the pain in her had did not respond to treatment, she approached Mr.Naran to seek relief through non-conventional methods. Mr.Naran has been researching the mental causes of physical pain for some time now and his findings have shown him that pain manifesting in the left hand is an indication that the person concerned has received and internalized some hurt or insult.

To ascertain that it was true in the case as well, he started posing questions regarding the woman’s fall and her state of mind on that day. This was the woman’s story. On the day she had the fall she had received her promotion letter from her boss. Instead of the usual good wishes or congratulations her boss while handing over the letter commented that all and sundry were being promoted these days and made it amply clear to her that he thought her undeserving of the promotion. The poor woman’s happiness on being promoted was ruined by her boss and his callous comments. She lost her own sense of self worth and consequently took the fall thus injuring her left hand. Mr.Naran asked her to take Rescue Remedy and more importantly chant the following affirmation as many times as possible. “ I deserve this promotion. I know fully well that I am a capable person. I love and accept myself.”

The young woman followed his instructions scrupulously and was healed completely. Her confidence was restored and she is now transformed person.

11.  Subramaniam (name changed) is a very generous person. He is always giving lavish gifts to his near and dear and is ever ready to help friends of his who are in need. Whenever he went abroad on a trip he would unfailingly return with a box full of expensive gifts for people back home. He did not think twice about the money he spent in this manner. His mother was always controlling him about his extravagant ways and advised him to put away some of his money in a savings so that his future would be secure. Subramaniam never took his mother’s  words seriously. He continued doing the same thing much to his mother’s despair.

One day subramaniam woke up with sever pain in his left thigh which was a “boring” pain that seemed to go right up to his bore. The pain then spread to the whole left. When usual treatment with allopath and flower therapy failed, he came to Mr.Naran who immediately pointed out that the cause of his was guilt. Mr.Subramaniam had failed to heed to his mother’s words and even though he did not realize it, guilt was building up at the subconscious level. Whenever the words of a parent or elder are ignored repeatedly the body will send you a message to heed the wisdom of your elders by manifesting pain in the left leg. Subramaniam realized his fally and was ready to make amends. Mr.Naran asked him to chant the following affirmation. “I respect money and heed my mother’s words and obey her wishes”. Subramaniam is now free from the pain.

Taking the advise as interference at the same time feeling guilty for not respecting the mother/elder.

12.  Although the pain is usually the medium through which our mind conveys messages for our personal evolvement, sometimes messages convey to us in other ways too.

A couple came to Mr.Naran to seek ways to solve their servant problems. Apparently their servant had not turned up for more than 15 days and this was causing a lot of disruptions in their daily routine. Mr.Naran asked them to thank their servant. The couple were surprised to hear this advise. Mr.Naran explained to them that we often tend to take our servants and other helpers for granted. On the days when they come to work we never show our appreciation of their efforts but the moment they take a few days break we are quick to criticize them and lament about our bad luck.

The message to be learnt therefore is to always show gratitude for all those whose help we take day in and day out. Mr.Naran also asked the couple to thank the vessels to be cleaned and the clothes to be washed. Most of us find household tasks like cleaning vessels and washing clothes tedious and demeaning. When your servants take a break, the message that the vessels and clothes are conveying is that they want to be cleaned by you personally with the right mental attitude. You must do the work of washing and cleaning joyfully and painstakingly and not in some haphazard manner just to get it over with.

The couple accepted the wisdom of Mr.Naran words. When Mr.Naran returned home after attending to all the patients for that day, he was surprised to learn that his servant had taken the day off. His wife was also away at her mother’s place. The other woman who normally attended to the household chores whenever the regular servant took a break was also unavailable. Mr.Naran realized that he was getting a clear message “practice what you preach”. He took up the work of cleaning the vessels with total involvement. When he was done, it seemed as though the vessels were sparkling more than usual. He thanked the vessels for teaching him something that day.

Case histories – Knees, Legs, Left Shoulder

1.      A lady complaining of pain in her left knee came to meet Mr.Naran. She was not able to climb the stairs even. He asked her whether she has any conflict with her mother. She suddenly exploded and said “I hate my mother. I want to kill her”.  He asked her the reason and her reply was – Her father has three sons from his first wife and she is his daughter from the second wife. Her mother treats the  sons badly and she is not even allowing her to talk to her brothers.

He advised her to forgive her mother one lac times and immediately she said she cannot do this. He told her that he is not telling her to do this but her body is conveying this message. We owe our existence on earth to our parents and it is therefore our duty to forgive our parents whatever may the provocation. If the forgiveness exercise is done, the pain will go off. Reluctantly she agreed and left. Next day she came back to me cheerfully and said that the pain is completely gone. She even danced with joy.

2.  One person came to Mr.Naran with pain in his right knee. He asked him whether he has any conflict with his father. His reply was – “no way. I like my father very much. He is highly spiritual. He will not eat non-vegetarian and he will not even drink others water. He is so pure.” His was running a hotel and he is also in the same business. While talking he said that recently he opened another hotel both vegetarian and non-vegetarian and from that day the pain in the right knee started. He advised him to close the non-vegetarian section of the hotel and have only vegetarian section for which, he said, he can’t do that as it is fetching him good income. Mr.Naran said if that is not closed the pain will continue to be there.

Here we have to observe one thing. His father is highly spiritual and pure vegetarian. Though he did not tell his son not to open non-vegetarian hotel, the father’s energy is stored in the son’s mind and it is objecting to this non-vegetarian concept. Here the conflict of the father’s and son’s energy has created the pain in the Right Knee.

3.  A 65 year old man complained of pain in his left knee. When asked about his relationship with his mother, he said that they enjoyed a happy association. During the conversation he mentioned that that his father died years before. Normally pain in the left knee indicates problems with the mother but in cases where father is deceased it could also indicate problems with the father since the left side also relates to the past. So, he was asked about the relationship with his father and he told that there were no issues with the father either. Then he was asked to think and recollect whether any advice given by his father that he ignored or failed to do.

The man thought over and said he could remember only one issue that his father on his death bed took his assurance to undertake a pilgrimage which he vowed and could not fulfill during his life time. This man had promised his father to do so but due to pressure of work he also forgot to fulfill the promise given to his father. He was advised to arrange for the pilgrimage to fulfill the promise made to his father. The man reluctant to undertake the journey as normal walking itself is a problem because of the pain. Finally he was convinced to undertake the journey.

The man had great difficulty in boarding the train at Chennai station and to his astonishment he could find that the pain had considerably reduced on alighting at the temple town. After having the darshan and thereby fulfilling his father’s request the man was amazed to find that the pain had disappeared totally without even a trace of it.]

4.  A person came to meet Mr.Naran with pain in his left shoulder. While narrating his pain he said that he is not satisfied with the present job. He is not able to give 100% of his work in the present job. Sitting in the office he would apply for new job.

Mr.Naran advised him to say the following affirmations “I choose to find ways to give 100% of the job” and “I stop resisting the present job”. It is needless to say that he is healed on chanting the above affirmations continuously.

Here we must observe that if he is not giving his 100% in the present or resisting the present job on his own the body reminds him with pain in the left shoulder. If he is repeating the same mistake as his father was doing then the pain will be in Right Knee. For such pains the affirmations are “I stop resisting the present job unlike my father. I desist myself from the father in the present job.”

5.  A person approached Mr.Naran along with his mother, with pain in his left ankle. He is working in a firm, married with no issues so far, which is deliberately postponing. In the office he will not complete his work on time during office hours. After everybody leaves he will sit and do his work and go home late. During the course of the discussion he told that he was postponing the child. He was asked about his wife’s interest. He said she is interested in sex and child but he is not interested to have child now.

He was advised by Naran that sex is the union of the female and male and interest of both to be considered and he cannot neglect his wife’s interest. He was asked about his father’s attitude towards sex. Immediate his mother replied that his father was also like. He was not having sex regularly due to silly reasons like today is Tuesday, today is amavasya, vratham etc. He was advised to consider his wife’s feelings also. He was postponing having the child thereby not giving importance to his wife’s feelings and emotions. He was repeating the mistake of the father in treating a female which has created the pain in the ankle. In both the cases both of them were not giving importance to other persons physiological needs.

6.  A man came to meet Mr.Naran with pain in the back of his leg from thigh, under the knee and back of calf muscle. He was asked whether he is repeating the same mistake again and again. He told that he has resigned the present job as he is not satisfied in the current job. Earlier also he did the same. He was in a job and in that he was not free to do his work. There was interference from his Boss. He did not like it and he resigned. During that time also he approached Mr.Naran to get a better job. During that time he had told Mr.Naran that even if he does not get a job he can mobilize money by selling some properties here and there and he can be on his business. But somehow he got the present job and he resigned this also as there is job satisfaction.

Mr.Naran advised him that we will not give any medicine instead he should the exercise of chalk out the strategy first as to what he wants to do. What are the funds available with him, how money he can mobilize from the properties or otherwise. This exercise was advised because last time also he said the same thing and there was no commitment from his side and joined the present job. Body is giving a message that first find out what you want to do now for which what are the funds available.

He sincerely abided by the instructions of Mr.Naran and did that exercise. The moment he committed to this his pain is gone. Further he telephoned Mr.Naran that he received Rs.9 lacs from the previous employer the moment he did this exercise.

7. A 27 year old woman who had been almost bed ridden for the past couple of years came to consult Mr.Naran. She had excruciating pain in  both knees and had to literally crawl to get any where. In fact even to come to see Mr.Naran she had to crawl painfully up the stairs. She had tried various treatments over the last year or so from allopath to ayurvedha with not any rilief. Believing that listening to spiritual discourses would take her mind off the pain, she had even joined a spiritual group to attend lectures on the Bhagavad Geeta. This did not help much either. She was referred to a pranic healer who did a few sessions and then put her to Mr.Naran. When Mr.Naran saw the woman’s condition he questioned her immediately about her relationship with her parents. The woman admitted that she had problems with both the parents.

Her mother was the second wife of her father. The first had sons before she passed away. The woman’s mother (the second wife) did not treat the sons born to the first wife well at all and was constantly picking them or belittling them. This angered the woman who enjoyed a good relationship with her half brothers. Over time she began to hate her mother. The father remained a mute spectator and did nothing to defend his sons from his wife’s onslaughts. She therefore developed a contempt for her weak and passive father who failed to assert himself when it was called for. On learning these facts, Mr.Naran explained to the woman that it was her attitude towards her parents that was the root cause for her knee problems. We owe our existence on earth to our parents and it is therefore our duty to forgive our parents whatever may be the provocation. The woman was in no frame of mind however to forgive her parents. Mr.Naran prescribed Rock Water, Hornbeam and Rescue Remedy for her stubbornness and intractability, and asked her to re consider his advice about forgiveness. A couple of days later, the woman expressed her willingness to do the forgiving exercise but on being informed that it had to be done for one lakh times, had second thoughts about taking on such a daunting task. Mr.Naran reassured her that it was not as impossible a task as she thought and asked her to start by doing the exercise for a thousand times a day. After about 3 days the woman called up Mr.Naran. She was ecstatic. She said that she felt as though she had shed a lot of old emotional baggage. She felt much lighter than even before. Mr.Naran realized that undertaking the forgiving exercise had started clearing the mental blocks that she had. All the various medicines that she had taken over the last year or so had failed to take effect because of these mental blocks. Now that the mental blocks were being cleared, accelerated healing would definitely take place. He advised the woman to continue the forgiving exercise. A week later the woman called to say that she was able to walk freely.  In fact, she came in person to thank Naran and showed how she freely she walked. She couldn’t find adequate words to express her joy and gratitude.

Messages from Body – Part 1 – Understanding why

Every one born on this planet earth has to attain God self or God consciousness. To attain this one has to take several births.  Body is the vehicle which guides us to the spiritual path. Minding the body through life issues will mend the life.

Pain or discomfort in any part of the body is a message from the spiritual point of view. By analyzing the issues pertaining to various parts, one can assess his life and correct one’s life path. Just an analysis of what happened – events, emotions and particularly thoughts – prior to physical problem, will heal one. Pain in the body is the message of the body to our life. One can understand his own past and heal or correct one’s life.

Mind has several layers. The energy of the parents is stored in the mind. This energy is nothing but what we call “gene”. For any pain in any part of the body one should analyze as to its position, relate it to the parent’s energy and finally resolve issue and the pain is healed. Medication in any form will give only temporary relief and finally it stops working as the issues are resolved. The energy of the medicine is stored in the mind and physical nature of the mind comes out through excreta. This energy of the medicine will not work until the issues are resolved. As soon as the issues or conflicts are resolved by forgiving are releasing techniques the energy of the medicine starts working and the body is healed.

MENTAL CAUSES OF PHYSICAL DISEASES

For any pain in the right shoulder, arm, hands or fingers, one should look or introspect for one or two of the following issues that might have happened in the his life.

  • Ingratitude: if one is ungrateful or has not sufficiently repaid his gratitude, ask yourself whether you are ungrateful to anybody. If so, find out ways and means to show your gratitude. (Mental exercise – thank all the persons in your life for the next 42 days)
  • It may also mean you have rejected somebody who helped you in the past. Whether you have not recognized a person to whom you are indebted. How much thankful or grateful you are to your parents.
  • Find out whether you are doing all the work with anger and resentment.  Are you doing any work or job unwillingly with anger against superiors or parents or colleagues? There may be overwhelming situations or there may too much pressure of work for which one can’t say “No”
  • Find out whether you are not able to forget or forgive a person> Right hand means giving. Find our whether you have the thought “I will not pay the money”. If this thought is there consider paying the person, even though you have hundreds of justifiable reasons not to pay the money.
  • Find out whether you have anger because you are interfered too much and not given any freedom.
  • Are you withdrawing from the responsibility because you will be blamed. You have fear of losing name, you are answerable, The work is burdensome. (don’t withdraw is the message) Honesty wins.
  • Doing with out love or with guilt. If you are not dutiful or loyal doing the work become ethical, honest, diligent. Rectify your path. Return to the path of honesty. You are answerable to God.

KNEE:

Pain in the knee represents issues related with parents. It may be conflict with the parents or doing whatever the parents did. As we already know left side of the body indicates issues related to past, receiving, issues with women, being rejected etc., and right side indicates issues with future, self, issues with men, resisting etc.,

LEFT SHOULDER

Pain in the left shoulder conveys the message – “you cannot get love when you need it most.” Left indicates Receiving. When one cannot receive love he cannot give love also as he will not have stock of love. When he cannot give love, it is passive anger. Pain in the left shoulder also indicates withdrawing from friends and relations, ignoring, keeping aloof from one who was previously close. Money due from others if we forget to receive and do not care to get back also the left shoulder pain reminds us of the dues from others.

LEFT SHOULDER BACK

Pain in the left shoulder back conveys the message “To learn a lesson from a female. Understand the hidden message from the harsh language. Missing the useful divine message from the harsh languages.”

It says listen to the female. Do not ignore the female. Understand the message in it.

RIGHT SHOULDER

What we have forgotten settles at the right shoulder. Forgetting to thank the person who has helped you in your life. Not showing the gratitude. Money due to a person either you have forgotten to return or not willing to return.

LEFT ANKLE

It relates to the past. Repeating the mistake of the father in treating a female.

Nature of pain and related cause in mind

Depending on nature of pain, the related causes can be identified.

Pain suddenly comes and goes like a lightning –

I need not be passive and I have to show aggression.

Alternating feeling of love and hate. Uncertain in relationship.

Pain appearing and disappearing suddenly:

A same thought appears at intervals – it may be anger, resentment, hurt, or sadness.

Pain gradually increasing and gradually decreasing –

Fighting a long battle with someone who has hurt you.

Unforgiving.

Pricking pain:

A constant threat of danger is there. Guilt may also be there.

Tight pain – as if tied by a rope.

Desire to break free.

Pain like an electric shock:

The mind feels attacked and wants to attack in return with violence.

Stabbing pain:

Shock and disappointment – feeling that you are ruined completely.

Throbbing(pain with series of pulsations) pain

constant intense irritability.

Bruise

Anger at what is happening.

Numbness:

Feeling paralysed.

Don’t calculate what you spend

Ram

I am suffering from Varicocele problem.

Naran

Varicocele is similar to varicose veins; but the site of problem is scrotum.

There is a block of blood flow; built-up or accumulation of venous blood. There is no space to go and therefore, there is back flow.

Take the flower remedies CHICORY for holding on to what all is not needed.

The person’s stingy nature – calculating every penny that is being spent – is one of the causes. Giving or spending with a wry face, is the nature of the family.

Pessimistic attitude is another reason. GENTIAN is the remedy for that.

For removing the built up, CRAB APPLE is also needed.

For the back flow, which is against the natural flow, SCLERANTHUS is the remedy. Always having confusion, between two choices, fear of taking a decision, not doing anything in Time, calls for Bach flower remedy Scleranthus.

A combination of CHICORY, GENTIAN, SCLERANTHUS and CRAB APPLE is to be taken for 4 months.

Marriages are made in the body

Naran

This is quite an interesting case history of a person, who suffered pain in several parts of his body, during his Marriage Yatra (journey). He managed to handle, both his pain and marriage, without spending a penny on medicine. Read below, to find out, how his body literally forced him to get married!

Dec 13, 2005

Rajan develops pain in his right leg and right foot.

Naran

The pain in the right leg denotes fear of moving forward. The upper portion of the foot denotes anger as you are blaming somebody for your problem. Anything happened recently, to make you fearful and angry?

Rajan

Yes, this morning, my brother phoned me up and asked me to meet a girl, regarding my marriage. Since then, there is a mild and consistent pain.

Naran

The body is asking you to release your anger and fear. See the girl and check whether she is suited to be your wife or not.

In addition, when you wanted to get married, why are you delaying it? Affirm “I release anger and fear”. If the pain goes, then meet the girl.

The pain goes.

Dec 19, 2005

When he decided to see the suitor, he developed pain in the lower back, which was intense.

Naran

What feelings of insecurity are you having now? Moreover, why are you feeling insecure? (Lower back pain – fear of insecurity)

Rajan

I always have the idea that I might lose my job after getting married.

Naran

Affirm, “Marriage makes me feel more secured, professionally”. The pain should go then.

The pain did go within a day.

Dec 26, 2005

Rajan

I have pain in my middle back.

Naran

Right or Left

Rajan

Both sides, though more on the right side.

Naran

Left middle back means “Needs” and right middle back means “Desires”.

The body says that you need to get married. When you have the desire to get married, why you resist it? In addition, you have the “Need”, meaning, it is important that you should get married. Do not resist it. Affirm, “Everything happening (in my life) is perfect”.

The arrangement to meet the girl was happening, in spite of his mental resistance. Now, after doing the affirmation, the pain vanishes!

Jan 10, 2006

He met the girl and liked her. Now, whether to marry her or not – a typical Rajan’s confusion, tormented him. He developed itching on both the thighs.

Naran

Thighs mean transition. It shows that you are not ready to go into the next phase of your life! Itching on right thigh means, “Move Forward” and on left thigh means, you are repeating the past mistake. You are not doing the transition to your marriage smoothly. Affirm, “All my needs and desires related to my marriage are fulfilled”. This will make your transition easy.

His itching stopped.

Jan 11, 2006

Next day morning he woke up with the cold. His body never gave up!

Naran

Getting cold, means that you are resisting something.

Affirm, “I release my resistance and I allow divinity to take over my life.”

Finally, Divinity enters his life, which he was resisting all along. His Cold had gone without him neither incurring expenditure nor using any medicine.

Feb 05, 2006

However, suddenly – all this can happen only in Rajan’s life, another proposal came. Instead of pain, now he developed numbness in the right leg.

Naran

Body says, “Do not get confused and be stuck up! You are unable to say yes to the previous proposal and at the same time, you do not have the guts to see another one. Hence, I have become numb”.

Rajan

What should I do?

Naran

The body says, “Surrender”. Affirm, “Let the Divinity guide me. I will surrender”.

In addition, the body says, “Do not think. If you think, you will become confused and will make no movement in your life (numb)”.

May 19, 2006

He surrendered, and the numbness went off.

He saw only one girl only and he got married to her. Ultimately, the body did not allow him to take any other decision. It has already decided that he should marry her (his wife). He meekly followed its decision.

Why he could not do anything by himself? Why his conscious mind did not work at all? These questions only divinity can answer. I can only say, for the first time in his life – Time, Divinity, and his Body overtook him 🙂

Right or wrong figure it out with fingers

Naran

Fraudulent Practices in the Office

Raj was an assistant accountant in a company.

His boss was cheating the company by getting commission from the vendors.

Raju was party to it. He was getting some cut from those deals. Though, his conscience pricked, he did not mind taking the money.

Eventually, he developed pain in the right fingers.

I asked him that he is doing something wrong in the office. I told him to resign the job, as the body is warning him that he might land up in trouble soon.

He resigned from the company immediately.

Spend Thrift

Venu did not save until the age of fifty. Whatever he earns he will spent it without twice thinking about his future plans.

He got pain Right hand fingers and after few months it became numb.

The body is informing him, ‘don’t spend everything and start saving for the future!’

Suppressed Anger and Severe Right Shoulder Pain

The mind body relationship: release your desire to control or change the person.

Meera is student of Naran S Balakumar. She is a Reiki Master.

She is almost the local guardian for Deepa, a young girl working in Chennai and staying in a hostel since her parents live in another town.

Meera and Deepa have shared a close relationship. Deepa has stayed in Meera’s house on countless occasions.

Nothing happened in Deepa’s life without Meera’s knowledge and Deepa came to her for advice on all matters big or small.

Deepa’s parents were seriously searching for a suitable groom for her and one day Deepa threw a bombshell to Meera, by declaring that she was marrying Dinesh, her office colleague in another 15 days’ time without informing her parents.

Meera was angry and hurt. The girl, who had consulted even for silly trifles, had kept a secret – an important matter concerning her love life.

Moreover from Deepa’s revelations, it also became clear that Dinesh was totally unsuitable in all ways and Deepa’s parents would have been heart- broken, if they come to learn of this marriage.

Meera tried to cajole and rebuke Deepa. She tried her level best, to dissuade her from pursuing this alliance.

She asked Deepa to consider her parents and the pain she would be causing them if she continued with her plan to marry Dinesh. Nothing seemed to make a difference.

Finally Meera persuaded Deepa to discuss the whole affairs with Naran and go by his advice in this regard.

Deepa had no problem with that, because she had known Naran even before her association with Meera and had consulted him on numerous other matters in the past.

After listening to the whole story, Naran intuitively felt that Dinesh’s family was caught in some negative karma and Deepa entering that family would make her life also enmeshed in the karmic trap.

He convinced her that only unhappiness would ensue from the alliance. Deepa decided to take his counsel and promised to abandon any plan of marrying Dinesh. Meera was very much relieved.

Naran suggested Deepa to gradually cut off ties with Dinesh. Since her parents were unaware of all that had transpired, there was no need to disturb their peace of mind by revealing the details.

Deepa acquiesced without a protest but from then on, the openness in her relationship with Meera, started missing.

Although on the surface, Deepa seemed as friendly as before, Meera sensed that there was a lot that Deepa was hiding from her since then.

One day in the midst of conversation Deepa let slip the fact that she was still associating with Dinesh. Meera was furious.

How could this girl whom she had treated almost like a daughter behave with such scant respect for her? In fact defying her very words?

She appraised Naran of the facts and his advice to her was to let things be as is. He also told her that she had done her best and now she must allow destiny to unfold. Meera decided to do so as advised.

A few days later, Meera woke up in the middle of the night with severe pain in her right shoulder. It was a pulling pain that kept her awake all night. In the morning things had not improved.

In fact Meera found that she could not use her right arm even for routine activities. In great pain she completed her morning tasks and not being the one who shirks her responsibilities, decided to go to her work place.

From there, she called Naran for help and was advised to take Rescue Remedy. All morning she took rescue remedy faithfully but to no avail. The pain continued relentlessly.

Just when she was sitting, mulling over her plight she got a call from a friend Sneha who is incidentally a student of Naran and a Reiki channel too.

When Sneha learnt of Meera’s pain her first question was “what mental cause did Naran assign to your pain”.

Meera was surprised. As a Reiki Master and a Bach Flower healer she had used the Mind – Body connection, while dealing with ailments and had advised many of her own patients to address mental level issues to relieve physical pain.

Yet in her own case, she had failed to draw the connection and so had Naran. Naran (Balakumar) often used to say that healers are at times blind to their own problems although they are very adept at healing others.

Meera immediately took off to see Naran to get enlightened on this matter. He then told her that it was suppressed anger that was behind the severe pain of the right shoulder.

Meera immediately said that the anger was against Deepa and her deceptive ways. Although Naran had advised Meera to let go, she had continued to advise Deepa to control or change her.

This was why the pain was “pulling”. The body was suggesting Meera through pain to stay away from Deepa. The nature of the pain itself gives a clue about the cause of the pain.

Naran asked her to repeat the following affirmation till the pain was released. “I release my desire to control or change anybody including Deepa. I willingly release Deepa to her destiny.”

As soon as Meera heard Naran’s words she realized her controlling tendencies. The very moment she acknowledged the mental cause of the pain healing began and the pain started reducing.

Right in front of Naran she started stating the affirmation repeatedly.

Within about 15 minutes the pain vanished completely. Tears of gratitude flew down Meera’s face as she thanked Naran profusely.

Indications: Right Shoulder means Anger and Right Side means Giving

Treating the Pain in the Bottom with Bach Flower Remedies

Treatment based on Mind Body Relationship

Analyzing the problem based on messages from Body and treating those mental causes with Bach Flower Therapy. Sita falls down and gets pain in her bottoms.

Sita:

While coming down the stair case, I slipped and fell down. I feel intense and unbearable pain my buttocks and extending to legs.  No posture is comfortable to me, as I could neither sit on a chair nor lie down.

Naran:

What is the unbearable situation you are facing now?

Sita:

You know my husband. Today morning his started criticizing me, which was vehement in nature, and unbearable too.

His words make me fell weak; as though something is breaking inside me. No human being of worthwhile nature can tolerate this.

I am just controlling myself from getting angry, because he has given my father a loan of 7 lakhs rupees. I feel hurt and insulted. There is no respect for me, in my house.

Naran:

To get respect, you could have shouted him back.

Sita:

I don’t want to do that.

Naran:

Why? Is there is any fear?

Sita:

I don’t have any. If he behaves like an animal, it doesn’t mean I should go down to his level.

Naran:

What is your Right Now mental state?
Sita:

What wrong have I done?

My pain is so terrible. I will never discuss my problem with anybody, because if it is known to my husband – fear of being exposed, then there will be problems again and I will be hurt and mentally broken again.

Naran:

Why do you feel broken?

Sita:

I am a disciplined person. I do all my responsibilities on time. I am so duty conscious that I wake up very early in the morning, do yoga, take a morning walk, do meditation and complete the cooking before 8 A.M. And I am so happy doing it. I have never failed in my household work. I am doing it so religiously, and happily.

I don’t see TV as I don’t feel like seeing it; I just read books. I am criticized for that too. According to him I am a “Zero”. There is no recognition or appreciation from him.

Naran:

Why don’t you communicate your feelings to him?

Sita:

No. The moment I start expressing my feelings, he will burst out and find fault with every word of mine. He will imagine different meanings to whatever I say. To avoid any further quarrel, I read books (fear of being hurt).

Naran:

Do you fear confrontation?

Sita:

No, I just don’t want to quarrel with him. It is below my dignity to do so and it is not right to do so.

Living in this situation is so repressing, and so choking that sometimes I used to think, “Why should I stay here? Why not I go out and stay alone, and be peaceful.”

Naran:

Then what stops you from going out?

Sita:

I feel duty bound. As a wife, I have to fulfill my duty. If I go away or stay somewhere, it is not the dharma for a wife. In our society, it is not at all possible. I am ready to make sacrifices and compromises, just to make sure things are peaceful.

Naran:

Please describe your pain.

Sita:

I am not able to sit down or lie down. The pain is on the buttocks, and extending to legs. It is unbearable.

Naran:

Chant Rock Water, Cherry Plum, Scleranthus, and Pine as much as possible.

Feedback

The next day morning Sita phoned up, and stating that she is totally free from the pain.

Naran’s Analysis

Key Words of Rock water:

Discipline, Duty, Sacrifices, Compromises, Dharma (law of principles), Fear of being Exposed (also for pine); Disciplined; Fear of being hurt (also for pine); Fear of Falling Down in the eyes of others; I am uncomfortable.

Pain on buttocks: mental cause is the thought “I can’t be here”.

Contradictory messages: The legs are ready to move out, when it receives the message, “I want to go away and live outside”. But it stops moving, by inducing pain, when it receives the message, “I won’t move out, as it is not right”

The confusion here is – whether to go out or not to go out – a conflict between principle and desire.

This conflict between principle and need has resulted in a physical confusion – “No posture is comfortable to me – as I can neither sit on a chair nor lie down”. This indicates the flower remedy Scleranthus.

Why should the patient fall down?

When one tries to control feelings of anger or sadness citing dharma and value system, then the demands on self-control (Rock Water) will become too much and therefore the body loses self-control.

As in this case, it has fallen down on the stairs. The inner conflict is very high with Sita. So she has fallen down. Losing self-control is Cherry Plum. The pain is unbearable – which indicates Cherry Plum too.

After falling, the thought “What wrong I have done?” comes to her. It is the state of Pine.

The whole episode is Rock Water turning into Cherry Plum and Scleranthus, and finally into Pine.

The interesting point to note here: the patient says, “I will not go down to his level”.

In other words, I will not fall down from my principles. The fear of falling down is very high, because the emotional turmoil of the patient is so much.

The situation is so trying that she is afraid that she may have to forgo her principles in order to mentally survive. According to her, deviating from the principles is something similar to falling down from high places.

That’s why she falls down (losing control) from the staircase, while coming down from the first floor.

Give 100% to Your Work

Naran S Balakumar

Ram is working in a software company.

He developed a left shoulder back pain. I asked him whether he has any problem in the office.

He replied that he has no role in the office and therefore, he is not working to his satisfaction.

The Message from his body is, “Because of your lack of interest, your contribution is less in the office. You are giving less than you are receiving.

“If you continue to do so, in the future you will get lesser appreciation. There may be a cut in the salary too. Even if you find a new job you will be paid less there.

“If you don’t want these things to happen then give 100% of your efforts.  Otherwise your receiving will become lesser and lesser”.

I asked him to affirm ‘I choose to find ways to give 100%. I stop resisting the present job. I accept it totally’.

Note

The moment he committed, the body pain was reduced. Please note that there is no right or wrong here!
