Forgiveness discussion Chennai 2016

Naran S Balakumar

The whole forgiveness concept is based on Bakthi Yoga of Bhagavat Gita, Chapter 12. There are important verses 13 and 14 in it.

Please note that wherever Krishna addresses Arjuna (in Bhagavat Gita), it is addressed to the whole humanity.

There he says (according to my translation), “Arjuna! Understand who is loved by me. He who doesn’t hate anyone; he who is always friendly and compassionate; he who is not possessive; he who is stable in pleasure and pain; he who is forgiving; he firmly aspires for me in his heart and mind (meaning you should aspire only for the divine in the world). He is the person much loved by me”.

How to be that person? How to change ourselves like that? Or how do we at least take the first step towards that goal?

Clear your memory from the past using forgiveness method

There are various methods we are going to discuss.

Why forgiveness is important?

Forgiving is an easy method to release our thought. When you say you are forgiving means, it means you are releasing your thought.

There is an important point to note here. It clears the memory. All our problems are because of our memory only.

For example, we bring in our conversation ‘Yesterday you talked to me like that, isn’t it’, bringing from our memory.

We always do that and we are proud about such memory power also.
